This is a self-referral phone number patients can call directly to book an appointment with a Sexual Health Nurse, or to access information and get advice on sexual health and contraception matters. We can offer appointments in Bronllys Hospital, Glan Irfon (Builth Wells) and Newtown Hospital.

Sexual Health Wales

This service, available to anyone in Wales over the age of 16, enables you to get a test kit for chlamydia and gonorrhoea.

You can also get a kit that will test for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B and C. You can use these kits in your own home and then post to the laboratory in the pre-paid envelope.

South Powys Long Acting Reversible Contraceptive (LARC) Service

This new service is hoped to increase the access to LARC within the local community. This service aims to meet the needs of women who require LARC as a method of contraception and are medically suitable following assessment.
